Relay for Life 2009

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, it hasn’t been that long since we lost my father-in-law to complications after surgery for lung cancer. We received news of his illness only one year after my mother-in-law had battled (and won) breast cancer.

Today she is in yet another fight and just finished a round of radiation treatments this week for bone cancer. We are awaiting a bone scan to determine if she will need further treatment. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I’ve decided to take a stand and fight back against cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® event right here in my community.
